CUBISM (artwork)

First things first, cubism has nothing to do with cubes. (Unlike my initial impression.) Cubism is completely different. Last week, my mom showed this video of an artist drew a realistic object look abstract. It looked like a bunch of simple shapes coloured in a pattern. But when you look closely you do see the objects. The objects themselves repeated all over the place. It looked kind of simple by just looking at it, but it actually wasn’t. I browsed around and I found that was actually called cubism and it was made famous by the artist Pablo Picasso. With my mom’s help, I tried to create one of my own. I took a picture of a few things on my dad’s desk and made a drawing. But before that, here’s a little background on cubism.

Because I'm Batman! (artwork)

Out of all the MARVEL and DC comics I know, Batman has always been my favourite. I don’t known why I haven’t drawn him till now. But a week back I was watching a video of a guy drawing a 3d drawing of Batman and I thought - That was awesome. So I decided that I’ll draw Batman.

Cartoon Demonetisation

Hello everyone and welcome back. So if you don’t live in India you still might have heard of Narendera Modi’s Demonetisation of Rs.500 and Rs.1000. It’s all over the internet!. I made a little comic explaining demonetisation. And don’t worry none of the jokes in it are meant to be offensive. So here it is:-

Leaves for Lord Ganesha

Hello everyone and welcome to a very quick post on what I did for Ganesh Chaturti. It is Lord Ganesha’s Birthday. Since it is a special occasion, a garland of leaves had to be hung at the front of the door. How did I make it? Well… Here’s how - First thing I had to do was to collect 80 leaves form a mango tree.

BB-8 drawing

Hello again everyone and welcome back to another drawing post. Today I present the cutest robot in the Star Wars universe. I’m pretty sure you guessed it. It’s BB-8!!! The little beeping robot from Star Wars 7. This drawing was not done entirely by me. My friend Aayush has helped me with the colouring. By the way I have a Star Wars movie review and if you have not seen it yet, I’ll leave the link at the bottom of the page. Anyway, here’s the video:-

STAR WARS (Movie Review)

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another review. This time it is a movie review and not a book review. Anyway, I watched this awesome movie, Star Wars : The Force Awakens and it was amazing! Now some of you who are reading this might not have watched the previous six movies. So I’ll give you a quick brief.

It's the last suit you'll ever wear...

Hello everyone. Today I present another drawing. This is the sketch of the famous Will Smith playing  the role of Agent J in the trilogy of the ‘Men In Black’. An MIB fan will definelty know what the title means. If you are a science fiction and comedy fan, and have not seen it, I recommend you watch this awesome trilogy. The camera tilted during the recording so you will see a horizontal tilt in the last part. Sorry about that. Anyway, here’s the video.

The Martian(book review)

Hello again. I recently read this new book, The Martian by Andy Weir and it is just too cool. It is currently my second favourite book. It explains a man’s (Mark Watney) survival on a world where there is nothing except craters soil and frozen water. So I think you might guess that I am talking about Mars. Anyway, this book is from Mark’s point of view.  Mostly in past tense, because he enters logs or electronic journal entries about his everyday life and survival on a barren world.

The Martian

Hello again. This is Aryan Mahesh back to work. So I watched the Martian(starring Matt damon as Mark Watney) movie a few days back and I thought Matt Damon did a really nice job on his acting. And plus he is one of my favourite actors. So I thought I’ll draw him with his EVA/ Space helmet on because it was a scene from the movie. And of course I drew him and took a time lapse using my iPod touch. I’ll leave the video  and the martian trailer below. Hope you like it.

A Rubberband Gun with PVC Pipes

Our colony organised a small market for young entrepreneurs to make and sell any product of their choice. So my friend Aravind and I, inspired by an instructables.com post about rubber band guns, planned to make a variation of it.
